Oh Dawson.

So, not what I had planned to bloggity about today, but I think I'll be forgiven for the slight change in schedule.

Any Internet addicted chap (or chappess) worth their salt knows of this:

It is magnificent and most effectively used to mock the sadness of others.  As if this gem wasn't enough James Van Der Beek, has given this gift to the world.

I think I love him now, I really do.

"It is always with the best intentions that the worst work is done." - Oscar Wilde

A picture is worth a thousand words....or you know...eight.

All my good intentions for last night went out the window, I was popping into town for a few quiet drinks with some friends, I planned to drink a little, maybe a few glasses of wine with plenty of water or soft drinks in between...that didn't last very long.  I should know better, I really should.  BUT!  All in all, a good time was had and I believe that even though my brain feels like it is trying to escape through the front of my skull with a jack-hammer, that is was worth it.  I had a good time with my friends and got to spend time with someone I don't see very often.  Check me out, scrabbling for justifications.
Also, going into town gave me a chance to dress up a bit, which doesn't happen very often, or at all really!  I've been a bit more adventurous with clothing of late, which to be honest just means something cleaner and less scruffy for me.  After receiving guidance from many reliable sources I went with this combo:

A nice bit of floral from Joe Brown and the cardigan of joy and delight.  It is wondrous, from ASOS.  It is the ASOS Contrast three-quarter sleeve cardigan.  Currently on sale for £15, I really would recommend it to any fellow cardigan aficionados out there.  I got so many compliments last night, even a bouncer asked where I got it from as he thought his wife would like it!  Liverpool door security are a fashionable lot.

I'm rambling now and after reading back over what I've written, possibly not making much sense.  I shall leave this as a cautionary tale to myself (with a high likely hood of it being ignored).  Rachelle you know your limits.  Stop drinking so much!

Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World

Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World.  Seriously, what is there not to love about this film.  I have seen if enough times to be considered Scott Pilgrim's official stalker.

*Looks up into the air and a memory montage starts*

Ahhh, I remember being excited, nay giddy when I first heard about the movie as I was already a fan of the comic books and Bryan Lee O'Malley.  Then I started hearing about casting (which was PERFECT btw), seeing clips, posters and trailers and my excitement grew and grew, like a completely inappropriate sexual innuendo.

*Snaps back to present*

Every time I try and have any sort of coherent thought or try to put down in writing just how awesome this film is, I totally start to gush I am now and probably always will be a fan girl.

I would urge or beg anyone who hasn't seen this yet to go out and buy it or download it (legally folks ;) )  Just so you can share the joy that is Scott Pilgrim.

I will finish by saying that if you haven't already realised,
I'm in love with this film an insane amount, I saw it 4 or 5 times at the pics and have seen it ten and a half (yes half)times since I got the DVD. I have BIG love for the film, BIG love for Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and the rest of the cast, BIG love for Bryan Lee O'Malley and BIG, BIG love for Edgar Wright for doing it so darn well.

I am completely and totally in Lesbians with all things Scott Pilgrim.

If you've seen the film, that's probably funny, if not.....

So, I wonder how long this is going to last?

I am intrigued by the idea of a blog, it does seem to be very popular at the moment but I fear I may not have anything of interest to write other than the trivialities of my everyday life.

One would assume that if I keep this up it will mainly be me telling you about what I am reading/have read, films I am loving/hating, music, shopping, moaning, you know, what I'd imagine most people would talk about.

So here goes nothing, my very first and very possibly last blog post ;)
